10/01/20

6-foot, 185-pound, average athletic frame, squared off shoulders, already filling out with good strength. A right-handed hitter, at the plate, starts wider, slightly open, hands are loaded, weight is back on foot strike. The swing is short and crisp, hands are inside the baseball. The approach is more middle of the field with line drives. The exit velocity was 81 mph, ran a 7.73  sixty-yard dash. Defensively, showed very well around the bag at 1st. The glove is soft on picks and can field it, soft hands on the catch. The arm was clocked 69 mph across the diamond. Will be a good one at the next level.

10/05/19

6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. Ran a 7.93 sixty on the laser at the event. The glove and feet work well around the bag at first. Threw 69 mph across the diamond as the arm strength will have to improve as he matures. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 75 mph. The setup is even, front foot open to start. The front foot closes down as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is long to contact, needs additional strength to the frame to aid the development of the bat. The path can also be flattened to avoid top spin produced at contact.

3/17/19

6-foot, 185-pound, stronger athletic frame, rounded/sloped shoulders, put together well. A right-handed hitting first baseman, top tool is his ability to swing the bat. At the plate, the stance is balanced throughout, open taller stance. The hands are loose at the shoulders with the bat having tilt to it. The swing is super short to contact, level through the zone, stays through it, drives it to all fields. The approach is from gap to gap, has enough juice to get the baseball deep into the alley’s, had a tee exit velocity of 78 mph, with more in there. Runs well, was clocked at 4.36 down the line, showed an athletic kick. At  first base, hands are super soft, work low to the ground, fields out front, soft hands on picks, both forehand and backhand work. The feet move well around the bag, good quick jump turns. The arm action is super short, working from his ear, clocked at 72 mph. Look for the bat to play at the next level, can swing it.

Arm Velocity: 72 mph

3/25/18

5-foot-11, 165-pound, average athletic frame, strength throughout. A right-handed hitting first baseman, has a middle of the field to opposite field approach at the plate. The stance is slightly open, hands are loose at shoulder height, bat starts in a flat position. For timing uses a simple small pick up of front foot, gains ground, and keeps weight back. The swing is level to up, creates some lift loft to the swing. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 74 mph, with a ton more in there. Ran the sixty yard-dash at 7.98. Defensively, feet are good around bag, good flow and covers a good amount of ground.  The glove works, gets low with soft hands, fields out front. The arm action is short, clean clocked at 65 mph comes out natural ¾ slot. Showed to have real good feel on all throws starting the double play. Received with ease from throws from across the diamond. Good looking young player, keep an eye on this one.

3/19/17

5-foot-10, 140-pound, average athletic frame, has plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed hitter, feet are shoulder width apart, slightly open, sits in a small crouch position. The hands are loose set at shoulder height, are quiet in the pre pitch setup. For timing has a small leg kick, picks foot up and gets back to even with stride. The hands stay back, swing path is down to level to up, stays through the baseball, rolls his wrists late, and finishes with two hands just above the shoulder. The approach was from gap to gap, sprayed it to all fields, the tee exit velocity was clocked at 66 mph, made solid contact in his two rounds of batting practice, needs to get stronger. Defensively, gets off the base well at first base, hands are soft, arm action has average length to it, works out of a ¾ slot, clocked at 61 mph, has good touch needs to strengthen it, long toss, needs to become quicker. The actions and movements are smooth and work, needs to become quicker.
