7/18/17 6-foot, 160-pound primary infielder showcased a soft glove hand, active feet and the ability to play through the baseball. Displayed athleticism in making the slow roller play and registered 79 mph arm strength across the diamond while demonstrating the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles.  The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance with a high back elbow and flashed good balance and rhythm throughout his swing.  Barreled the baseball consistently in his batting practice round with a bat exit velocity of 77 mph and went 1-for-5 with a sacrifice fly while making hard contact in several other at bats during game play.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Gets squared up through a fluid toe turn load. Barrel moves back fluidly prior to swing decision. Path is level and he has a one handed follow through. Bat speed and strength are both above average tool. Ball comes off his bat well, especially to pull side. Has a run producer look to him. In the infield, the shortstop showcases solid infield mechanics. Fields the ball low to the ground out in front of his body. Funnels into his waist before quickly transferring into release. Throws the ball from a 3/4 slot with average arm speed. On the mound, the righty starts from a taller setup. Uses a slower tempo delivery to gather himself. Utilizes a high leg kick to generate momentum. Releases the ball from a ¾ arm slot with a shorter arm action. Fastball shows some nice 2-seam movement. Chokes his curveball slightly. Offering comes in on an 11-5 tilt with gradual break. Also offers a slider that moves side to side with late drop. Rounds out his repertoire with a changeup that has a downward action. Tends to slow his body down on the offering.
