8/4/16 5-foot-11, 160-pound primary pitcher worked three scoreless innings over two games. Allowed one hit, walked two and struck out three while inducing two double plays. Flashed a quick arm with some cut to his fastball that sat 83-84. 72 mph curveball showed 10/4 rotation with short, late break. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash, flashed 82 mph arm strength from the outfield and an 85 mph bat exit velocity.
7/20/16 Athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pounder with loose, clean arm action. Gathers over rubber well, while upright finish, at times, led to inconsistencies in release point and command on this day. Stuff was down a tick from when we last saw him. Fastball sat 81-83 with occasional late, hard armside action. Curveball at 65-67 flashed late slurvy action, but was inconsistent, while change-up checked in at 68-70. Still expect athleticism and arm action to lead to a velocity jump at some point.
11/7/15 Athletic, 5-foot-11, 160-pounder with loose, clean arm action and solid three-pitch mix. Worked from the far first base side of the rubber out of a high three-quarter slot and landed slightly closed. Fastball with occasional armside run sat 83-mph and peaked at 84. Sold his change-up with fastball armspeed well, as the pitch clocked in at 73-75 with fade. Also showed a feel for throwing his solid curveball at 67-70 for a strike. Despite his stature, athleticism (ran a 6.88 60-yard dash) and arm action hint at more to come.
11/7/15 5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed hitter who ran a 6.88 60-yard dash and posted an 82-mph exit velocity. Primary pitcher (who showed well on the mound) hits from a slightly open stance, incorporating a heel-raise stride. Arm bar in load creates some stiffness in swing, although he showed an ability to barrel the baseball during his BP round. Defensively, he exhibited athletic actions and a long, loose arm action that generated 81-mph arm strength.
