Ryan is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound righty with a quick arm from a high ¾ arm slot. A kid that meets the eye-test to scouts and college recruiters, 2016 grad Giberson, will have to utilize his lower half to consistently work down in the zone getting on top of hitters with his length as much as possible. His 72-73 mph curveball with 11/5 action was shape when down in the zone and is his best off-speed pitch, as his straight changeup tends to be a little firm at 79-80 mph. Maintaining good arm action on his changeup will be the key to being a good three pitch starter in his collegiate career. Giberson does have pitchability and will be a guy to watch out of the gates in the 2016 spring.
