Daniel Gladden: 1B/RHP, (2022) Olentangy Berlin, OH.
6-foot-2, 200-pound physical frame. At the plate, Gladden's 94 mph exit velocity ranks him 2nd at the event. Began in a balanced tall stance with a small smooth load, then used a short stride. Had an upward swing plane, explosive bat speed and level finish. Had loud contact during the round. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.01. Fluid on the mound, has consistent arm speed and a ¾ arm angle. Used easy effort in his delivery. Changeup (71-73 mph), slider (70-71 mph).Threw his fastball 80-82 mph; shows slight running action and arm side command. He threw a 11/5 curveball (70-72).

Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a simple, yet fluid loading sequence. Very loud tools with mid to upper 90s exit velocity. One of the loudest rounds we saw. Good athlete. Power: Legit power. Offensive Projection: Middle. Field: Frame/skill set plays over at first base. Lateral mobility is there and ball skills are serviceable. Throw: Clean, loose arm with easy jump. Defensive Projection: 1B.
Scouting Notes: Some of the top raw stuff we saw on the day. Physical arm out of Olentangy Berlin at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds with a fastball up to 84mph and the top breaking ball we saw on the day. Hammer of an offering spun at 72-73mph with present swing/miss. Fastball: Heavy offering with regular run/sink. Breaking Ball: One of the better breaking balls we saw on the day. Sharp, heavy offering that has quality action. Changeup: More than playable third offering. Fastball look out of the hand with around 15inches of vertical action. Pitchability: In/out throughout the bullpen.

6-foot-2, 195-pound athletic body frame. At first base he has fluid footwork around the bag with athletic actions showing the ability to move well off the bag to cover good ground. Has good arm strength for a first baseman throwing with a clean arm action through a ¾ slot at 76 mph. On the mound he throws exclusively from the stretch with regular effort to his delivery, landing more closed at foot strike. Has a long arm action with quickness to his arm speed from a ¾ slot. Fastball was between 80-82 mph. Slider has tight shape with cutting action between 66-69 mph. Throws a changeup using fastball arm speed ranging at 72-75 mph. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance striding to even at foot strike. Showed strength and bat speed during his round of batting practice with the ability to hit the ball to both sides of the field. Recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash.

Body type: 6-foot-2, 195-pound thin and athletic frame.
Swing mechanics: Smooth and simple load into his lower half with minimal movement. Keeps his hands loaded through contact.
Hit: Uphill bat path with a backside approach.
Power: Flashes pop backside with more to come as he develops.
Offensive projection: TBD.
Field: Shows good footwork around and coming off the bag at first. Glove is solid, should be a reliable defender.
Throw: Transfer needs to be quicker. Arm strength is still developing.
Defensive Projection: Firstbase.
Body Type: 6-foot-2, 195-pound projectable frame.
Mechanics/Delivery: Slower tempo out the gate, shows good direction. Works out of a ¾ slot using some effort through release.
Fastball: At 73-77 mph the fastball shows above average run to the arm side.
Curveball: Breaking ball has good spin to it. Pitch is more slurvy and flashes some sharpness at 62-64 mph.
Changeup: Changuep is thrown with deceptive arm action at 66-67 mph and offers some late sinking action near the zone.
Pitchability: Good feel for all three offerings. Fastball has well above average movement. Breaking ball should develop into a true out pitch in the future.
