6-foot-3, 178-pound athletic, projectable body frame. From behind the dish he uses good footwork to get himself turned and in line before he throws down to second base. Throws with a clean, short arm action through an upper ¾ slot. Reached a top velocity of 74 mph to help him produce pop times consistently ranging from 2.09-2.10. Right-handed hitter starts his easy swing from a balanced stance. Takes a short stride and loads with his hands moving just past his back shoulder. Swings with an upward bat path, finishing with a two-handed follow through. Showed the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice. Recorded a top exit velocity of 74 mph and ran a 4.58 home to first base time.

6-foot-2, 175-pound tall thin build. At the plate, he starts with a balanced stance. Uses a leg kick load and gets good separation with his upper body. Swings on an even plane with an uphill finish. Registered a top exit velocity of 74 mph. From behind the plate he shows good footwork. Throws from a high ¾ slot with 73 mph arm strength. Pop times ranging 2.04-2.11.

Stauffer is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound C/RHP from Boardman HS. He was selected to the NABF 16U World Series All-Tournament team in 2014.
2/7/15 Stauffer has a projectable 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame and displays solid catch and throw skills defensively. The sophomore flashed pop times of 2.09-2.18 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. Stauffer showcased a bat exit velocity of 71 mph from the right side of the plate. He hits from a slightly closed stance and utilizes a toe tap stride to initiate his swing. Stauffer could develop some power potential as he learns to more fully incorporate his lower half in his swing.
