Really liked Whisner in the infield. Plays fast and with obvious confidence. Ball skills are well above average and play up the middle at the next level. At the plate he has a line drive swing from the right side. More of a contact guy but will flash sneaky pop at times. Well rounded ball player who has a college future.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a short stride for timing. Lower half creates solid energy. Hands move back to launch and stay loose prior to swing decision. Swings with intent on a level path. A good athlete with obvious twitch through the zone. Gap to gap guy with feel for the barrel. A talented defender up the middle. Reacts well off the bat with a very quick first step. Balls skills are well above average for his class. Moves with ease laterally and glove skills stay on the move.

5-foot-9, 135 prospect with thin, athletic frame. Reminds me a lot of Cody Dennis (Sinclair CC/Youngstown State), his former teammate at Licking Valley. Makes everything look easy and natural. Plays from his toes. Actions are fluid with range to both sides. Showed the ability to stay low and pick the short hop as well. Topped out at 80 mph across the diamond as well. With continued physical growth, he could make himself into one of the top infielders in Ohio for his class. Offensively, he showed off a fluid swing from the right sides. Loading sequence creates efficient energy into contact. Bat has some quickness to it on a level plane. Whisner has solid feel for the barrel and produced line drive after line drive in batting practice.

5-foot-9, 135-pound average frame. At the plate he starts in a tall set up before using a knee pinch load and short stride forward to time the pitch. Hands stay simple before getting through the zone on a level path. Average batspeed at this stage. Reached a top exit velocity of 74 mph and ran a 5.08 from home to first. In the infield he has some quickness to his feet but would be aided by better pre fielding position footwork. Glove is his best tool.
