Whitley stands 6-foot-2, 195-pounds with an athletic baseball body. The Wake Forest commit has a plus arm roaming the outfield with exceptional speed running 6.5-6.7 60 yard dash times that play at the next-level. At the plate he shows a smooth balanced approach generating plus power to all fields (100 mph exit velo). He is arguably the No.1 prospect in the Northeast with some talks last month as being the No. 1 pick overall. That is highly unlikely but his skill-set sets him up nicely somewhere in the middle of the 1st-round in tonight's amateur MLB Draft. Projecting a bat can be a tough job, especially a northern-bat, but the raw tools Whitley has shown are without question - it's hard to believe we see him slip past the 1st-round.
