7.14.15 Day has an athletic frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. He has a short arm action and a quick armstroke and generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are level and slightly closed as he strides out on line to a square landing before falling off slightly as he finishes. Day’s fastball had heavy run and sink to it and he commanded it well, working in the 75-78 range and generating a ton of ground balls. He threw a sharp 10/4 slider with decent armspeed for strikes that ran 61-67. He flashed a changeup with full armspeed that ran 72.
