6/9/15 - McEwen is a 6-foot-3 250-pound 1B. McEwen has an exit velo of 83 mph an runs a 8.01 60.  At the plate, minimal load, level bat path, middle to pull approach, balanced throughout swing.  Defensively, high three-quarters release, will throw from lower slot, fluid footwork, clean exchange, 83 mph positional velo. On the mound, McEwen comes from a low three-quarters slot, quick delivery, throws with some effort.  Fastball at 70-73 mph, down in zone.  Breaking pitching with slider movement, 62-66 mph.  Change-up at 60 mph.
9/27/14 - a wide-shouldered 6-foot-3 265-pound 1B, positional velo of 72 mph, accurate throws, ¾ release.  At the plate, balanced set up, long stride, slightly uphill bat path, pull power, runs 8.10 60, home-to-first in 5.03.  On the mound, ¾ release, fastball at 74-76 mph, 1-to-7 curveball at 67-69 mph, change-up at 71-74 mph, throws with regular effort , stays inline as he gets down the mound.
1/4/14 - McEwen is a big 6-foot-3, 225-pound left-handed pitcher that throws from a low ¾ slot.  His fastball registered in the 74-76 mph range.  He also threw a 67-69 breaking ball and 66-67 change-up.
1/4/14 - McEwen is a 6-foot-3, 225-pound right-hand hitting first baseman.  During the defensive workouts he showed average hands and feet with quick exchanges throwing 70 mph from first base using clean ¾ arm action.  Hitting-wise he starts with a tall set-up, takes a long inline stride and uses no hand load.  He has an upper body dominant swing with bat speed.  His top exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph.
