MD Preseason All State

Solid frame at 5-foot-9, 190 pounds. Hits from the right side with an open, slightly upright stance. Small pickup to stride landing on-line, hands are quick to the ball, and swing is flat with an uphill two-hand finish. Lower half finishes completely and head is behind barrel at contact. Exit velocity was 79 mph. Home-to-first time was 4.88. Uses a quick jab step behind the dish to get in-line with the throw. Clean, slower exchange to a short arm action throwing from a low three-quarters arm slot with average arm speed. Positional velocity was 64 mph. Pop times ranged 2.57 - 2.70. Worked primarily out of the stretch. Got to a consistent balance point about waste high and upper body was slightly crouched, but showed proper tilt for the arm slot. Curveball showed average feel from a tough arm slot to throw it out of. Curveball velocity was 57-60 with 10/4 shape. Changeup was a solid secondary pitch with arm side fade at 57-62 mph.
