2020 DRAFT: A product of Delgado Community College in New Orleans, LA, McManus was a late add for Samford. The 6-foot, 210 pound right-handed hitter hits from a taller balanced set up using smooth rhythm and larger leg kick to initiate the swing. Slightly rotational swing with average bat speed and strength at contact. Did not disappoint in his first season on campus as he banged out a .440 batting average and impressive 1.571 OPS, showing feel for the strike zone with a 2:1 walk-to-strikeout ratio. Flashed big power potential as he blasted 4 home runs in just 25 at bats. McManus also answered the bell defensively as he held his own behind the dish throwing out 2 of 3 attempted base stealers this spring.
