Gantt keeps getting better. The LH shows more consistency in his swing. Showing occasional power. Good doubles guy at the next level. Gantt is a plus runner (6.61) His arm is good enough to stay in center. Ohio State's outfield continues to improve with top end Indiana talent.
2/23/13: 5-foot-9, 170 pound outfielder runs a 6.63 60. From the OF uses a short arm action and throws from a high ¾ arm with average carry and good accuracy. His feet work and moves well across the OF. At the plate uses a balanced setup with a smooth load. His stride is short and shows excellent balance. Produces line drives consistently and is fluid with his rhythm.
2/25/12: Gantt is a 5-foot 9 athletic junior outfielder from Hamilton Southeastern. Gantt is a recent move in from Missouri. Gantt started the day off with an impressive 6.81 sixty and then showed advanced actions in the outfield and showed some arm strength at 80. Gantt is a left-handed hitter with a good balance stance, smooth load, and quick hands demonstrating barrel whip.
