5/15/13 Game Notes: Sanburn is a 6-foot-2 RHP with a live arm. The troubles with Sanburn has been his ability to throw strikes consistently at his upper end velocity. Sanburn is much closer. The righty sat 83-85 touching an 86. Did not walk near as many guys. Still needs to cut down 3 ball counts and putting himself in bad counts. Sanburn still has the ability to be an elite arm with a good breaking ball.
2/23/13: 6-foot-1,190 pound right handed pitcher from Avon shows a slow, deliberate delivery with a slight pause in it. It is repeatable. He continues to show an impressive arm that sits at 85-87. The breaking ball and slider both showed well and are above average pitches. If Sanburn commands the zone in the spring he will quickly shoot up the list of overall ranked 2014's. The stuff is there for Sanburn to be a solid division one arm.
2/25/12: Chandler Sanburn is a 5-foot-11 2014 right handed pitcher from Avon HS. Sanburn emerged as one of the top pitching prospects in the class. He showed a good frame, a long arm circle, and clean arm action. Sanburn was an easy 84-87 with life. Sanburn featured a curve ball and a slider. The curve ball broke early with a 12-6 action. The slider was tighter and was more of an 11-5 pitch than maintained one plane. Sanburn’s change up was still a developing pitch but showed good arm side run.
5/23/18 - Strong bodied reliever with arm strength. Threw from a three-quarters slot, landed cross-body. 91-93 mph fastball showed occasional arm side life, yet was mostly flat on this look. Mixed in a fringy slider at 83-84 mph. Likely senior selection around the 10th round.
