6/12/18: The 2019 continues to fill up the zone during the showcase scene. Still posses the funky double kick delivery to the plate that is rushed. FB showed more life this time at 84-85 T86 and a little increase in velocity. Continues to spin a good sharp late CB for strikes that showed swing and miss. Is his best pitch in arsenal.
6/5/18:2019 RHP thick build. Pitches from high 3/4 arm slot with a short quick arm stroke. Has a little funk in his delivery with leg lift and double kick. Delivery was rushed and choppy at times. Body stays in line to plate and he finishes closed. FB showed late run at 84-85. CB showed late hard sweeping action with depth at 70-73. CH showed some fade action. Throws 2ndary with same arm speed as FB.
7/18/17: A 6-foot-1, 252-pound prospect. On the bump the right-hander has a slower paced tempo. Delivery gets funky at balance point. Lower half is unique but arm really works. Arm action is clean with well above average arm speed. Ball gets out of his hand well and on hitters quick. Fastball showed obvious arm side run and he pounded the zone with the offering. Offers a changeup and two breaking balls in his secondary arsenal. Slider looks to be the best of the three stuff wise. The pitch has depth and is very sharp. Breaking ball moves more on an 11/5 plane with less depth and bigger action. Maintains fastball arm speed on his changeup that had some cut and dive to it. Definite arm to follow. Dominated his outing.
FB: 81-85
CB: 66-69
SL: 71-75
CH: 77-78
2017 Spring Scout Blog: 6-foot-2 240 pound RHP with a strong lower half. Drop and drive type who throws with some effort and a quick arm. Pitch comes out of the 3/4 slot which can get stiff in the back. Slow then fast rhythm in the windup with varied leg kicks. Good direction and lands square with a good finish. Fastball stays down. 79-83 in the first and 80-82 in the fourth topping our at 84. Breaking ball was the better pitch late with some sharpness with 11/5 and 10/4 action and in to RHH. Some consistency with big, gradual arc movement at times. Final line: CG 6H 1R 9K 2BB.
2/26/17: The 6-foot-1, 240 pound right-handed pitcher has a quick, jerky delivery with above average arm speed. Pitcher from a high 3/4 slot. Low leg lift in the windup, tilts shoulders into stride leg. Quick rhythm, choppy at times. Arm side run on a fastball sitting 82-83. Change-up is straight, has fade at 74-75. Slider has 10/4 shape with some depth at 69-72. Curveball has down action at 65-67.
