2020 DRAFT: A transfer from Northwest Florida State College, Farr is a strong, athletic bodied 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-hander with a durable frame and strength throughout. His arm works clean and easy, but he's still working through getting on time with his separation and timing. The talent is there for for two plus pitches; his fastball works in the mid-90s, up to 96 at times. He also shows the makings of a potential plus curveball in the 77-80 range and a heavy, sinking changeup at 82-85 mph. Farr is a potential top five round pick and finished the 2020 season 3-0, 1.72 ERA, 15.2 IP, 6 H, 5 BB 14 SO, .113 OPPAVG.
10/31/18: South Carolina commit. 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-handed pitcher, strong, durable frame, strength throughout. The arm works clean and easy and still working through getting on time with his separation and timing. Had a lot of glove side misses, but the arm talent is there and has a chance for two plus pitches. The fastball worked up to 96 mph and showed the makings of a potential plus slider at 79-81 mph with a changeup at 87 mph. Would strike out a pair in his inning of work.
10/9/18: 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, athletic build, broad shoulders, strength throughout frame. Tall and fall delivery, sits on back-side at balance point, breaking back leg slightly, leads with hip towards home, lands toe-closed, pivoting to square, finishes athletically. Arm works loosely, short, clean swing accelerates quickly, high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 94-95 in first inning, settled in at 91-94 in the following two innings, showed armside run and ability to locate to either side of the plate and low in the zone. Changeup, heavy sink, late life, thrown aggressively, 85-88. Curveball, tight spin, depth, sharp action, got swing and misses with, 81-82. Slider, 10/4 shape, hard, late action, 88 mph has makings of a future out-pitch.
