Athletic frame at 5 foot 10 inches and 155 with room for growth. Has short arm action with carry and accuracy. Average hands with good footwork and clean exchange. Has a short stride but balanced approach at the plate with smooth load and hits line drives and good barrel awareness. Level bat path with extension and good rhythm.

The athletic and twitchy D’amato has great defensive actions. He barreled balls all day from the left side with a compact swing and a good bat path. Good extension, keeps barrel in the zone for a while. Good runner. Above average glove and arm, pushes through the ball well.
