Transferred from Tennessee to Santa Fe College
10/16/16- Tennessee recruit. Stands at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds with a tall, lean, projectable build. Clean, easy arm action out of the high ¾ arm slot. Calm and poised on the mound. Fastball sat 91-92 mph, touching 93 with late life. Curveball sat 70-73 mph with some decent shape. Change up was 78-79 mph. Although he slows down some on the curveball, it has a good shape to it. The fastball is heavy, with late life. Interesting arm with a lot of life on the fastball and will be very interesting going forward.
1/16/16 - Tall loose lean athletic projectable body. Loose live arm at a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball was 87-89 mph with good downhill tilt. Curveball was a loopy downer at 70-71 mph. Has a high ceiling. Stuff will improve with physical maturity.
6/14/15- 6-foot-3 184 pounds with a tall, lean, athletic, and projectable body. Accurate, loose, and over the top arm from across the diamond. Soft hands. Simple and quiet at the plate. Gets his foot down early and has a slight upper cut swing plane. On the mound he has a loose, over the top arm action and gets a good downward plane on his fastball. Everything is in line and he has a consistent delivery. 84-87 mph FB. 71-72 mph CB. 68 mph CHG. Fringy off speed.
11/10/19: 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame with solid athleticism. Junior right-handed pitcher with a pronounced cross-fire, working across his body with a fairly clean delivery. Long arm action into a ¾ release with minimal effort. Fastball sat 91-93 with quality arm-side life, solid sink and average command. The slider was firm at 82-83 mph but showed some inconsistency with a tendency to back-up on a occasion - hit on a few that were above average with quality depth. Also showed feel for a power change up at 84-86 mph with solid arm-side fade and average command. (Sofio)
3/20/18: 6’4/195 freshman RHP Donovan Benoit showed a 89-91 fastball in his relief appearance for the Volunteers on Saturday. (Seifert)
