5-foot-7, 140-pound, smaller, strong, athletic frame. The hands and wrists have strength to them. A left-handed hitter, stance is even, feet are shoulder width apart. The hands are set just below the shoulders, wrists are loaded up strong with the bat having tilt to it. For timing uses a toe tap, stride foot gains ground, hands have separation to them from the body. The swing is strong and quick, starts with a downward path and finishes high with one hand. The approach is more to the pull side, its a line drive with some lift to it at times, creates backspin, looks to get the ball in the pull gap.  The tee exit velocity was clocked at 75 mph with more in the tank. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.75, showed a clean easy stride. Defensively, is advanced from the outfield. The footwork is clean and quick, steps through hard, gains ground with transfer. The arm action is clean, it's shorter on the back side. The arm works out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot, clocked at 75 mph.  Throws are downhill and on target, gave the fielder something to handle. Good looking athlete, love the aggressiveness on both sides of the field, continued strength and speed work.

2/18/17

5-foot-5, 130-pound, small, thin athletic frame. The hands and wrists have strength to them, has plenty of room for future development.  A left-handed hitter, the stance is balanced and has a good setup, swings aggressively and doesn't get cheated with his hacks. The feet are inline and are shoulder width apart. The hands are set at shoulder, bat angle is in a good position, back elbow is extended outward at times. The swing is down to level, cuts across it at times, could keep hands inside it longer. The approach is more to the pull side, hands are quick with and have pop to them. Defensively, plays the outfield, routes and angles are good to the ball showed good instincts going after the baseball. Fields the baseball out front of proper foot, transfer is quick, closes down the body and uses more of a hop with feet to transfer the baseball. The arm action is shorter, throws from a high ¾ slot, ball had above  average carry to it for his age. Good looking young hitter, needs to be able to spray the ball to all fields, strength in his hands and the ability to square the baseball up routinely is an above average tool. Good follow, more to come on this one.
