9/2016 - Made USA 18U National Team.
8/11/16 - Hit balls hard in three of his four at-bats.
8/10/16 - Continues to swing the bat well and added two hits today, including an RBI double that tied the game in the seventh inning. In his second at-bat, he showed his barrel control when he stayed on a 77 mph slider and squared it up for a single back up the middle. He then stole second and third base before scoring on a groundout.
6/25/16 - Collected two hits in first game and added three more in the second. After Turang led the game off with a triple on Thursday, Allen knocked him in by going with an 89-mph fastball away for a single. In the resumption, he jumped all over a 90-mph fastball and sent one into the left-field corner for a two-run double. He has a quick bat with good barrel control. Has consistently made solid contact and worked the entire field.
6/23/16 - Absolute gamer and reminiscent of Nick Madrigal, a 2014 Tournament of Stars participant who just finished his freshman year at Oregon State. Like Madrigal, Allen has excellent hands in the infield, picking balls of the dirt with ease and making a quick, clean transfer. A Southern California recruit, he made a fantastic diving play up the middle, got to his feet quickly and got a strong throw off to first to get the runner and end the inning. He has good bat speed at the plate and surprising pop in his 5-foot-8, 152-pound frame. He turned on a pitch, launching it over the left fielder’s head for a double and finished 2-for-5.
