10/25/20

Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 5-11, 214-pounds. Big, broad, stout, strong, physical.
Defense: Confident feet, quiet clean actions, works below the ball, will  make plays in his range, steady.
Arm: RH. INF - 74 mph. Short smooth arm stroke, versatile arm angles, snap throws like a former left side infielder.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, open, tall, smooth small load, tilts barrel, short stride, explosive lower half, maintains balance. Short to it, powerful through it, heavy pull in this look, ball screams off bat, has real power, 51% on plane efficiency, 50% line drive/fly balls.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity in live BP via TrackMan. 80.9 max bat speed (73.24 avg), 23.5 max hand speed (21.34 avg).
Run: 8.05 runner in the 60.

9/07/20

Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; Physical profile suggests his most useful tool must be RHH power bat & that's exactly it. Not just a mauler, has the hit tool, routinely makes outstanding barrel contact, has present usable power to all fields & there is more coming. Capable defender.

6/26/19

Bay Area Open - Medium, full frame with rolled shoulders and strength in the frame; full effort runner. Slightly opened, even base keeping hands at back shoulder; early transfer of weight deep over backside with coil and hands working back. Quick compact turns having barrel working on carousel turn through the zone with some lift on contact and full two-handed finish around the back; when on time the ball jumps off the barrel especially to the pullside where he flashes pop and showed carrying strength (92 EV). Moves well in short bursts with ability to work around the baseball to make throws be inline to the bases; soft glove and good target at first. Arm is quick and compact able to play from angles and while on the move (77 MPH).

6/03/18

6/1/18-6/3/18 - BAWS 2018 - Full lower body on compact 5-foot-10 188-pound body. Narrow open stance with early load. Bat has some length but showed the ability to hit ball deep in zone to CF/RF and turn hands on pitch in. Looks to hit fastballs early in counts. Limited range in infield (3rd baseman type) and below average footspeed, but showed some lateral quickness in small areas. With focus on body and developing more athleticism, 2nd base could be in his future and as long as he continues to show the ability to control the baseball in the hitting zone and make barrel contact, he's one to keep an eye on. Catcher is also a potential option as he displayed a 2.0 pop time and utilized his feet well behind the plate.
