vs McClatchy HS - UC Davis commit (football/baseball); 5-foot-9, 170-pounds) is an igniter type of lead-off hitter. Built like the college bound running back that he in fact is, he showed excellent pitch recognition and ability to work deep at-bats. He didn't chase out of the zone in a positive hitting count and has the bat control to spoil two strike pitches. The swing is somewhat upper body rotational but he's got plenty of bat speed and physical strength to collect extra base hits and also the footspeed to leg out infield hits (4.24 H-1st & 4.55 on a turn). With two BB and a triple (to LCF), he put his full offensive repertoire on display, while also tracking down deep fly balls with ease. At one point he put down a bunt toward 3rd base that rolled just foul and went 3.94 down the line, though he was pulling up just a bit.
