A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average

5-foot-11, 181-pound physical frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 93 mph. Begins in a tall quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed is quick, uses upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. He created some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive approach. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 79 mph; has consistent feet, consistent hands, and a clean exchange. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a quick arm action with a ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.52.

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP Matured body. Handles the bat with the ability to swing with authority to all fields. Has good feel for the arm and uses the body well. Advanced on the field with potential on the mound and at the plate. Body: 5-foot-11, 181-pounds. Early sprouter. Has some definition and leanness to a fairly filled out frame with room to grow. Defense: Moves well for a big body. Soft hands on ground balls and gets rid of it quickly. Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Quick arm action and follows the throw to the bag. Adequate arm in the IF. Hit: RHH. Athletic stance. Gets in the legs well with a loose upper body Gets behind the ball at contact. Keeps the head still leading to above average contact. Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.86 runner in the 60. Acceleration stood out. Quick burst and efficient first step. Gets to sprint speed quickly which is a sign of above average body control. Will get faster.
Delivery: Simple delivery. Not much wasted movement, gets weight toward the plate with above average extension in the stride. Arm Action: RH. Short arms, a bit cutting off some velocity. Comes out of the shoulder making it hard to pick up. FB: T74, 71-74 mph. Has some cut to the FB as he can get on the side at times. Gets on hitters quick when he's behind it. CB: 61-64 mph. Arm action creates command issues as he will spike the breaking ball at times but has sharp bite to it when he gets extended. CH: 62-66 mph. Backs up well and comes out of the hand in the same slot as the FB.
