Wisconsin Class of 2015 Rankings Released

The Class of 2015 is proving to be much deeper than the 2014 class. We have seen a number of solid players in the Class of 2015 which is led by three pitchers at the top of the class.

Connor Wollersheim is the top ranked prospect in the 2015 class, hailing from Neenah HS. Wollersheim is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound left-handed pitcher who proves to be very projectable. His lanky, lean frame features long arms that present a clean arm action. He showcases an above average curveball with a low to mid 80’s fastball which will certainly climb as his thin frame fills out.

Nickolas Lackney is a long 6-foot-3, 165-pound left handed pitcher from Whitefish Bay HS. Lackney draws comparisons to his travel team (The Hitters) teammate Evan Kruczinski, featuring a long loose arm action that produces above average arm side run. Lackney features advanced polish for his age with a balanced delivery and the ability to command the zone.

Brendan Meissner is a right handed pitcher from West De Pere HS. Meissner is the top right handed pitcher in the class who features a mid-80’s fastball with a quick loose arm action. Meissner is a long slender build at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds who projects well for a jump in velocity as he matures.

The remaining top five are rounded out by a couple of middle infielders in slick fielding left handed hitter Alex Henwood (Appleton North HS) and Owen Miller (Ozaukee HS).

A trio of solid catchers make the list as well, including 6-foot-4, 200-pound Pete Schuler (Kenosha St. Joseph’s HS), left handed hitter Rudy Rott (La Crosse Aquinas HS),and Marshall Gilbert (Watosha Central HS).

The Class of 2015 will surely be a deeper class than previous years featuring a number of projectable athletes up and down the board. As the season nears and our Wisconsin events heat up we look forward to expanding our rankings with more of the most talented prospects in the class.
