PLANO, TX- On January 9th, our PBR Texas staff hosted the DFW Preseason ID event to a much anticipated showcase and trials on the confines of Prestonwood Christian Academy. The event featured a talented group of players from the 2022-2023 classes. Yesterday we gave a full breakdown of the position players in attendance, today we give a full breakdown on every pitcher in attendance.

Nathan Harmon 3B / RHP / Marcus, TX / 2022
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-foot-10, 170 pounds.
Delivery: Stretch only, tall and fall delivery, crossfire action, sets up on 3B side of rubber, repeats delivery well
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, high ¾ slot.
FB: 83-84 mph. Occasional run, intent to keep it at bottom of zone. Average spin rate of 2364 rpm via Trackman.
CB: 70-74 mph. Power curve action, 11/5 shape, 10/4 at times
CH: 78-80 mph. Showed intent to keep it near the bottom of the zone.

Lawson Peel C / RHP / Frenship , TX / 2022
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 5-foot-11, 160 pounds.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, lands soft on the front leg, repeats delivery well, controlled throughout delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, high ¾ slot. Ball comes out his ear.
FB: 84-86 mph. Arm-side run, showed good control at the bottom of the zone and arm-side.
CB: 69-70 mph. 11/5 shape, flashed sharped 12/6 action at times, intent to keep it down
CH: 76-77 mph. Arm-side action, flashed swing and miss capability, flashed ability to throw for a strike, good arm speed.

Delivery: Slight drop and drive delivery, stretch only, starts slightly closed, finished square to catcher
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, high ¾ slot
FB: 74-75 mph. Occasional run, occasional arm-side strikes.
CB: 60-61 mph. 11/5 and 12/6 shape, occasional strikes
CH: 67-68 mph. All located on the glove-side.

Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. Lanky, projectable build
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, good body control throughout, works in line towards target, occasionally falls off towards 1B side.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, high ¾ slot
FB: 78-80 mph. Occasional run, strikes at the bottom of the zone and arm-side.
CB: 63-67 mph. 11/5 shape, occasional glove-side strikes.
CH: 68-69 mph. Arm-side action, occasional late depth, intent to keep it down, slows arm occasionally. |
