As snow is falling all across the Volunteer state, time to turn up the heat! Following up the 2021 TN Heat Sheet, we turn our focus to the TN junior and sophomore class, who have been running it up on the radar gun this year. Given the age disparity we've adjusted our range from 88 to 85-86+ mph to further project players as they develop over the next few years. The junior class has twenty-six arms to top 86+ with ten D1 commits amongst that group, while the sophomore class has twenty-one players who have topped 85+ with nine D1 commits. Uncommitted RHP Logan Quales (Tennessee HS) leads the 2022 class topping at 92 this summer at PBR Future Games while 2023 Vandy commit Ethan Robinson (Donelson Christian) leads the 23' class topping at 92 this year at Lakepoint.
Velocity trends are continuing to uptick similar to the MLB's progression over the past decade, as evident with this underclassmen group which features 17 prospects at 88+ and 8 have already committed division one. There will be many talented arms to pop on the radar and join this group as the All-State Preseason Showcase Series approaches and the 2021 high school season looms.
