- 3.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K
North Carolina commit showed an electric 2-pitch mix. 6-0, 195-pound lefty features a medium, athletic frame w/ present lower half strength, some physical projection. Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ to H ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber. Learning to get his arm consistently on-time, will have times where it lags behind or works too quickly, causing him to miss to his arm-side. High-effort delivery w/ super quick arm. Angle. FB shows short arm-side run. Gets on you as a hitter. CB was consistently above average on this day, generated 5 swing and misses on 7 swings. Tight medium downer w/ late bite, above average depth. Put-away pitch. Around the zone with his 2-pitch mix. Sprayed a bit with the FB, but 8 of 10 CB’s were strikes. Flashes ability to paint at the knees with the FB. Projects to command.
