FRESNO, CA - As we provide analysis from the Central Valley Preseason ID, we will take a look at some standouts from each position in our series THE FIVE. Today we will take a look at standout outfielders from the event that showed well enough to leave a lasting impression on our team of scouts. Earlier we posted a Quick Hits story with multiple early standouts. We also released our stats leaderscatchers analysis, and outfielders analysis

Today we look to dig a little deeper into the five outfielders who have a chance to be high-level outfielders in college.

Scouting Report

QUICK TAKE

Yet to play a High School game, Dilworth Jr. was very impressive during the viewings at Fresno City College leaving a lasting impression on our scouts with his projectable frame and advanced for his age skills. He showed off centerfield type quickness with a very fast 60-yd dash and followed that up with a mature batting practice session where he regularly peppered the middle of the field before finishing the day showing projectable skills in the OF including a strong arm and clean footwork. College coaches will want to make a point to check in and follow Dilworth Jr. closely over the next few seasons.

SCOUTING REPORT

1/13/19 - Central Valley Preseason ID - Lanky and very slender build on a long, medium frame; high waist and sloping shoulder with very projectable frame that can add muscle and strength as matures. Very quick runner using length in legs and quick feet to run quality 60 yd dash (7.11). Slightly opened, balanced stance with high hands/high back elbow while showing strong posture; hands load back as body coils around back hip with quiet stride. Gets into a strong hitting position and shows a quick bat with loose wrists driving balls through the middle of the field and into the gaps (85 exit velo); stays behind the ball well with some barrel whip through the zone. Defensively showed athleticism in OF with strong footwork getting him in time to throw to bases; average depth in arm with quickness through extension and ability to put the ball on the bag with future life projectable (80 mph).
