Conway Dominates in North Davidson Win at Salisbury

Game Recap:
PBR was on hand for game one of a home and home series between the North Davidson Black Knights and the Hornets of Salisbury HS. It didn’t take long for the Black Knights to get the scoring started. After freshman Wesley Stewarts leadoff single in the 1st, JR Lingerfelt drives him in with an RBI single. With runners on the corners Mason Everhart extended the Black Knights lead to 4 with a 3 run home run to center.

Senior pitcher, Jon Conway, ran with the lead, striking out the first nine batters faced. For the night Conway would only allow 1 hit and 2 walks, while piling up 16 punch outs.  Conway worked 6 innings in the win.

In the 4th, Wesley Stewart gets his second hit of the night and drives in Maddox Johnson. A stolen base by Jackson Pearl set up the Black Knights with two runners in scoring position. Jake Brown took advantage of the opportunity and hit a two RBI single to right field giving the Black Knights a 7 run lead.

North Davidson tacked on another run in the top of the 5th with a RBI single by Jackson McAllister giving him his second hit of the night.
