The inaugural rankings for the Oklahoma 2018 class have arrived. At the top of the list, and currently ranked No. 115 in the PBR Overall Rankings, sits C Caden Aldridge (Tahlequah HS). Defensively, the Oklahoma recruit boasts a strong arm with carry and excellent accuracy, showing 1.89-1.95 pop times between innings to go along with next-level blocking abilities. At the plate, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound muscular right-handed hitter shines just as brightly. Using strength and high-end bat speed, Aldridge consistently produces extra-base contact with a middle to pull approach and some lift.
Filling the No. 2 spot is Missouri State recruit Javier Ramos (Vian HS), currently No. 141 in the PBR Overall Rankings. A true two-way prospect at the next level, the 6-foot-5, 170-pound shortstop and right-hander is very projectable.. On the mound, Ramos features a fastball that reaches into the upper 80s with seemingly little effort. Defensively, he possess advanced actions and a strong arm across the diamond.
An athletic and loose-armed Oklahoma recruit, RHP Wyatt Olds (McLoud HS) comes in at the No. 3 spot and No. 144 in the PBR Overall. The low slot, sinker-baller features a fastball with late life in the mid to upper 80s and a slider that flashes late break with depth in the mid 70s.
