We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2021 Scout Day: CT Grind Baseball. This was a great opportunity for 2022-2025 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2021 Scout Day: CT Grind Baseball - Quick Hits

  • Vince Bisbi, 2025, RHH, even feet, showed a level path, good hands to the baseball, 78 mph exit velocity.
  • Joel Collado, 2023, RHH/C, level to up path, hard contact, goes the other way very well, exit of 90 mph. Defensively, well above average, pop time of 1.90-1.97, all throws on the bag. Big time follow.
  • Mickey Covino, 2023, LHH, smooth left-handed swing, level path, spraying it to all fields. The exit velocity of 85 mph. 
  • Scott Gell, 2023 RHH/C, free and easy swing, lift at the end, simple balanced approach, can handle the barrel. The exit velocity was clocked at 90.  Pop time of 1.88-1.90 all throws on the bag.
  • David Heresh, 2023 RHH/C, a twitchy athlete, good strength. Level path, exit velocity of 89 mph. Pop time of 2.04-2.07
  • Nick Hunkele, 2023 RHH/UT, can play all over, the arm action is whippy, working with minimal effort. Would like to see him off the mound at some point.  Simple balanced approach at the plate. 
  • Ryan Johnston, 2025/SS RHH, only in 8th grade, actions and movements are advanced, chance to be a big time player. 
  • Brain Kiska, 2023/1b LHH, a twitchy athlete, a plus runner at 6.6-6.7, swing is short and compact. Could make a move to the OF, big follow.
  • Andrew (AJ) Soldra, 2022 OF/1B, an electric bat from the left side. Showing natural loft and lift to the swing, an all fields approach. A toolsy player, 91 mph exit, 88 mph from outfield and a 6.94 sixty runner. 
  • Ethan Piazza, 2022, LHH/OF, sprays it all over the yard, a 6.8 runner, good footwork and approach in OF, arm shows strength at 81 mph. 
  • Kevin Milewski, 2023, C/1B, swung the bat well at the event, shows power potential, exit of 89 mph, stayed in his and in the middle of the field. Frame is large and thick.
  • Paul Visconti, 2022, OF, a plus athlete, ran a 6.81, twitchy, quick body. The swing is strong, line drive approach, with an exit of 85 mph.
  • Landon Zdru, 2023, RHH/1B, continues to improve offensively, exit of 90 mph.
