The NCAA early signing period starts November 14th. With the start of the fall signing period upon us, we look to break down each individual Division 1 commitment from in-state prospects, where they are headed and what tools they will bring with them.

Ball State

Adam Tellier SS / RHP / Forest Hills Central, MI / 2019

Report: An athletic middle infielder who is a table setter in the line up. Moves well laterally with good actions in the field. He is a polished player who has an opportunity to see action early.

Boston College

Jon Campbell Jr. SS / RHP / Detroit Country Day, MI / 2019

Report: Campbell is a player that continues to get better each time you see him play. Athletic player that can play 8 positions on the diamond. On the mound has been up to 89 mph with a power curve. Clean actions at SS while showing 6.73 speed that will allow him to play CF at the next level. Gap to gap hitter with a line drive approach. 

Bowling Green State University

Jack Krause OF / SS / Brighton, MI / 2019

Report: Jack is swift on his feet, takes good routes in the OF along with having a good throwing arm with carry. Top of the order hitter that will steal bases. Swings from the left side fitting the heavy left hand hitting line up at BGSU.

Trent Farquhar SS / 2B / Lakeland, MI / 2019

Report: Trent is a polished ball player that will produce. Produces extra base hits and makes plays up the middle. Left hand hitter that will fit the BGSU scheme. 

Anthony Toma SS / OF / Detroit Country Day, MI / 2019

Report: Toma is a player with a lot of upside. In the field may transition to 3B at the next level, also has enough athleticism to potentially make a move to the OF. Has an extra base approach at the plate with power. 

Kyle Gurney C / 1B / Divine Child, MI / 2019

Report: A 6-foot-2, 190 pound projectable catcher who has an accurate throwing arm behind the plate. Has an 90 mph exit velocity and a good work ethic that will allow him to continue to get better at the next level. 

Brown

Ryan Marra 1B / LHP / Detroit Catholic Central, MI / 2019

Report: 2017 member of Team Michigan at the Future Games. Marra was a two sport star at Catholic Central playing baseball and hockey. 6-foot-5 frame is imposing, and it is followed with the raw power he packs at the plate. Swings from the left side making loud contact.

Coastal Carolina

Nasir Frederick OF / SS / Wayne Memorial, MI / 2019

Report: 2017 member of Team Michigan at the Future Games. 5-foot-10, 175 pound athletic outfield prospect. A little raw and very athletic with a lot of talent to work with. Aggressive in the outfield with the ability to play all three positions while projecting as a CF. Two-sport varsity athlete at U of D as a football player as well.

Evansville

Trey Nordmann RHP / DeWitt, MI / 2019

Report: 2017 Member of the Team Michigan at the Future Games. Trey features a three pitch mix and has been up to 90 mph. Has the ideal frame for a pitcher, with a strong work ethic. He has only started to scratch the surface of his potential. 

Marshall

Austin Brown SS / RHP / Madison, MI / 2019

Report: Austin is a two sport star at Madison. Playing quarterback as well as pitching and playing shortstop. A versatile player that can contribute in several ways. Upper 80's arm off the mound. Switch hitter at the plate. Hit a ball out of Eastern Michigan this summer. 

Miami (OH)

Billy Kopicki 3B / SS / University Liggett, MI / 2019

Report: Billy has arguably the best glove in the state along with very good range. He is able to step foot on a college diamond today and play up the middle. Has added size to his frame driving the baseball more consistently at the plate. Expect to see him fight for a starting job immediately. 

Mississippi Valley State

Jaylyn Bullock SS / RHP / Lincoln, MI / 2019

Report: Jaylyn is a two way prospect that is joining the SWAC conference. Good arm strength and the ability to produce power at the plate. On the mound he shows special talent with an upper 80's fastball paired with two off speed pitches. 

Penn State

Logan Evans RHP / 3B / Saline, MI / 2019

Report: Logan is a 6-foot-5, 220 pound RHP that throws downhill with little effort. Has been up to 90 mph, along with his late breaking slider that produces swing and misses. Logan will compete for innings as a freshman.
