The Class of 2019 Showcase and Future Games Trials - South took place on Tuesday, July 10 at Segnette Field in Westwego, LA. The two events featured 35+ participants – from around the region - complete the 60-yard dash, positional workouts, live batting practice and pitcher bullpens. Here's a look at the numbers from Tuesday's event.

TOP 60 YARD DASH
There were 11 sub-7 times recorded from attendees. Nick Vallette (Sulphur, 2019) clocked the quickest 60 yards of the event with a 6.69. Trace Galloway (DeRidder, 2019), Grant Fontenot (Eunice, 2020) Cameron Bell (Bowling Green, 2019) and Cole Stromboe (Brother Martin, 2020) followed suit, separated by slim margins.
TOP FASTBALL VELOCITY
A lanky, athletic 6-foot-6 fram, Nicholas Judice (Catholic(BR), 2019) topped the fastball leaderboard touching 85-mph. While Grant Frontenot (Euncie, 2020) showed exceptional feel for secondary stuff and ran his fastball up to 84 mph.
TOP EXIT VELOCITY
14 total 85+ exit velos were posted at Tuesday’s event. Kobe Seimen (The Dunham School, 2019) registered 94 mph to lead the pack. Kory Schmidt (Libert Hill (TX), 2019) posted a 93 mph exit velo, while Hector Zepata (South Plaquemines, 2019), Matthew Delaney (Denham Springs, 2019), Austin Hinton Richard (The Dunham School, 2019), and Cameron Lejeune (DeRidder, 2019) all posted exit velos of 90+.
TOP INFIELD VELOCITY
Brennan Holt (Parkview Baptist, 2021) showed off advanced arm strength for his age, posting an event best 84 mph positional velocity from the infield. While Grant Fontenot appears on his third leaderboard, clocking an 83 from his position.
TOP OUTFIELD VELOCITY
After posting an event best 60 yard dash time, Nick Vallette (Sulphur, 2019), tops the leaderboard along with Cole Stromboe (Brother Martin, 2020) with positional velocities of 88 mph from the outfield. Cade Simpson (Holy Cross, 2019) showed off a strong arm with carry on throws with an 87 mph positional velo.
TOP CATCHER POP TIMES
Cameron Lejeune (DeRidder, 2019) posted the top pop time of the event at 2.01. Kory Schmidt (Liberty Hill (TX), 2019) finished second with a 2.08-second pop time. While Henton Roberts (Neville, 2022) showed advanced catch and throw skills for his age, posting a top time of 2.12-seconds.
TOP CATCHER VELOCITY
Lejeune (DeRidder, 2019) posted a top positional velo of 75 mph, while Schmidt (Liberty Hill (TX), 2019) recorded a positional velo of 74 mph. The young Henton Roberts (Neville, 2022) followed up with a 73 mph positional velocity.
