Prep Baseball Report Kansas hosted the Fall Underclass Games at Tointon Family Stadium on the campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan on October 19, 2014. This was an invite-only event for Kansas high school class of 2017 and 2018 prospects.

Later this week we are going to provide position-by-position analysis and scouting reports of the prospects that took part in this event, however to kick things off we will take a look at the top in-game performances.

+ 3B Tim Bell (Junction City HS, 2017) reached base three times collecting two singles to left field and also took a hit by pitch.

+ LHP Peyton Carson (Shawnee Heights HS, 2018) put in the top performance of the day on the mound recording nine outs in 27 pitches, throwing 67% strikes (including an impressive seven out of eight change-ups for strikes).

+ C/SS Traice Hartter (Topeka Seaman HS, 2017) had an MVP-like performance at the plate going 4-for-4 (two singles, a double and a triple). He also stood out defensively behind the plate throwing out a would-be base stealer while also making a number of solid plays at shortstop.

+ C/OF Jordan Maxson (Maize South HS, 2017) drove the ball to the middle of the field with authority collecting a single and triple, both to center field. He also threw out a would-be base stealer at second base.

+ OF Bryce Mitchell (Blue Valley Northwest HS, 2018) walked in his first plate appearance then went 2-for-3 including a double to left center field. He also stole a base.

+ RHP/OF Brett Parke (Maize South HS, 2017) reached base twice, stole a base and also made the play of the day in center field running down a ball that appeared to be a sure double off of the bat. On the mound he recorded four outs with two strikeouts and no walks.

+ OF Carter Perkins (Manhattan HS, 2017) collected three hits in four at-bats including two doubles to left field.

+ 1B Charlie Peyla (Junction City HS, 2017) ripped a double into left center field and walked once in three plate appearances.

+ SS Adam Theis (Bishop Carroll HS, 2017) put on a defensive display at both middle infield spots dominating the average play and making challenging plays look easy.

+ RHP/OF Blayten Tullis (Derby HS, 2018) retired four out of the five batters he faced including two strikeouts. He threw 70%+ strikes.

+ RHP/OF Zebulon Vermillion (Shawnee Mission East HS, 2017) went 2-for-3 with a double to left field while also stealing a base. On the mound Vermillion retired nine batters in 33 pitches, including five strikeouts with no walks. He threw 70%+ strikes using a fastball heavy mix.

+ C/1B Nicholas Wohler (Manhattan HS, 2017) went 2-for-4 at the plate including a triple to right center field.
