On Sunday, Oct. 13, we hosted the St. Louis - Underclass at GCS Credit Union Ballpark in Sauget, Ill. Today, we continue our event rollout as we dive into the statistical side of the showcase. Below are the top leaderboards from the event. Earlier this month we published our Quick Hits post, providing some rapid reactions for some of the top prospects in attendance. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks when we break down the day’s performers, position by position.
3B/RHP Phil Brennaman (Oak Park, MO; 2020) put together one of the more complete days, statistically speaking, seeing his name atop the infield velocity and fastball velocity leaderboard, respectively. He also displayed his ability with the bat placing his name in middle of the pack for top exit velocity.
Athletic multi-positional prospect Isaac Dixon (Lafayette, MO; 2020) posted the event-best 60-yard dash at 6.87, laser-timed. Dixon showed more than his fleet footed abilities jumping into two other leaderboards; exit velocity and infield velocity.
Physically imposing 2021 left-handed hitting OF Josh Turner (St. Charles Lutheran, MO) has ability on the diamond and it showed placing second in three of the top leaderboards; 60-yard dash, exit velocity and outfield velocity.
OF Cooper Greenwood (Rock Bridge, MO; 2020) stands alone atop the exit velocity leaderboard. At 89 mph from a tee, Greenwood utilizes his durable frame and loose hands to generate above average bat speed.
