2019 RHP Andrew Mosiello - Chapparal HS - has been named the Prep Baseball Report California SoCal Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performances during the last week that saw his team sweep through the Brian Hamilton Chino Tournament as the Pumas outscored their opponents 25-6 over the tournament.

The Pumas defeated Norco 6-2 in the championship game. The win moved Chaparral’s early season record to 6-0 as they prepare to open their league season on Friday against Murrieta Valley after a Wednesday game against Vista del Lago.

Didn’t matter if it’s what at the plate or on the mound, Mosiello was dominant last week. The Oregon signee was 7-for-10 with a HR, 2 doubles and 5 RBI’s at the plate on the week. He then took the mound on Wednesday and picked up the win with 4 IP, 8 K’s, 0 hits, 0 runs allowed. Mosiello was named MVP of Brian Hamilton tournament.

For the season ( 6 games) the future Oregon Duck is hitting .571 with 6 RBI with the aforementioned homerun, 2 walks with only one strikeout. On the mound he’s 2-0, with 12 strikeouts and only 2 walks.

For his efforts Mosiello has been named the Prep Baseball Report SoCal Player of the week for the week of February 18th - February 23rd.
