Quick Hits: Central Arkansas Underclass Trials

Quick look at some of the performances from yesterdays workout at Hendrix College. Our staff is currently working through all the information as we put together more information from this Underclass Trials Event. 

2020 SS/RHP Christian Cooper showed athletic actions in the infield and at the plate along with a swing and miss type curveball off the mound.

2020 C Connor Flagg was impressive as he ran a sub 7 and threw the best pop times at the event. He also showed a smooth left handed swing with loft and eventual power as he fills out his rframe.

2020 LHP Price Price Watsonatson showed a clean delivery and ran his fastball into the  low 80’s with command of secondary stuff as well.

2020 C/RHP  Lawson Guthrie showed the ability to do all things well. He has arm strength and physical strength that play on both sides of the ball.  

2021  RHP Cooper Pieri had the fastest fastball of the day with plenty ,more in the tank as he has the pure arm swing with length and quickness that will continue to throw harder and harder.

2021 SS Traejon Blake is a player to keep an eye, his athleticism and frame along with the ability to elevate the baseball should be a high commodity as he logs more innings played.

2021 1B Ty Gordon is a physical bodied first baseman that looks the part everywhere he is on the field. Strong swing with fluid actions at first for the left handed throwing Gordon.

2022 RHP/SS  Colton Sims showed his ability to pitch showing two different arm slots along with the ability to spin the breaking ball. Also swung the bat well in batting pracrtice with solid actions at SS.

2022 SS Tyler Hipps turned in an all around solid day. Showed advanced actions in the infield along with bat speed and some power at the plate, and ran a solid time in the 60.

2022 SS  Easton Swofford showed athleticism and ability to barrel up the baseball along with posting on of the top 60 times.
