
PBR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The PBR internship provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to learn scouting and scouting terminology while also receiving a platform in which the interns can meet individuals from the scouting and college recruiting community. We are seeking qualified students, preferably studying marketing or communications with a strong understanding of the game of baseball. It is required that the candidates have strong writing and compositional skills.

- Baseball Journalist Intern
SCOUTING INTERN
Dates: June, July, August of 2019 - potentially year-round dependent on your availability
Pay: TBD based on availability.
Location: This position will include traveling to high school games in the spring and/or summer along with summer events as directed by scouting director.
Primary responsibilities:
• Work hand-in-hand with our scouting director.
• Collect video at games and properly send back to HQ.
• Compile scouting notes and relevant data.
• Compose articles and write-ups recapping player performances.
• Utilize social media to promote player performances.
EVENT LOGISTICS INTERN
Dates: Anytime
Pay: TBD based on availability plus assistance with housing and food.
Location: This position will include traveling to showcases in SoCal or NorCal depending on your location.
Primary responsibilities:
• Work hand-in-hand with Scouting Director.
• Assist with administrative duties prior to events.
• Help with event logistics, including check-in, social media, radar gun, video camera, and other duties.
SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN
Dates: Immediate
Pay: TBD based on availability and workload.
Location: This position will include traveling to PBR events.
Primary responsibilities:
• Work hand-in-hand with head of content to develop and implement social media marketing plan.
• Boost presence on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Manage Twitter/Instagram during events.
• Preferred, but not required, knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator.
BASEBALL JOURNALIST ASSISTANT
Dates: Open
Pay: TBD based on availability and workload.
Location: Flexible and able to work from home.
Primary responsibilities:
• Write feature stories to be posted on the site's web-site.
• Provide administrative assistance, including but not limited to data entry and web research.
• Potentially cover games and events, composing scouting recap stories.
TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT INTERN
Dates: June and July of 2019 - OPEN TO SOCAL INTERNS ONLY
Pay: TBD based on availability plus assistance with housing and food.
Location: This position will include traveling to showcases and tournaments in Southern California.
Primary responsibilities:
• Work hand-in-hand with tournament director before the event, during the event, and after the event.
• Assist coaches with roster input, schedule questions, and customer service needs.
• Prepare scout packets for each event.
• Oversee and manage a field during each tournament ensuring that all parts of the operation are running smoothly and on time.
• Compile scouting video and scouting notes during games.
• Manage Twitter/Instagram during games.
• Help compile all event stats and ensure they've been properly entered on the web site.
